Flash Flood Watch In Effect For Several Greater Houston Counties
Skies will be clearing late Thursday, but street flooding is possible Thursday morning as the rain moves out of the area, officials said.

HOUSTON, TX — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for residents living in several Houston area counties until noon Thursday.
The watch is for residents in Walker, San Jacinto, Polk, Burleson, Brazos, Washington, Grimes, Montgomery, Liberty, Austin, Waller, Harris, Chambers, Fort Bend, Brazoria and Galveston counties, officials announced Thursday morning.
Heavy rain impacted areas of Houston much of Wednesday, with more rain moving through the region at about 5 a.m. Thursday.

Residents north of Houston were under a flood advisory overnight. Officials said street flooding is likely in some areas of Harris, Montgomery, Waller, and Austin County.
The rain is expected to slowly move out of the Houston area later Thursday, and drop temps into the 40s.
