George Strait Added To 2019 Houston Rodeo Lineup

HOUSTON, TX — Country music legend George Strait has been added to the list of performers for the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The 2019 rodeo will have a 21-day run, from Feb 25 to March 17, with the King of Country Music performing on the last day of the rodeo.

“We are extremely excited to welcome George Strait back to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo,” said Joel Cowley, Rodeo president and CEO.

The performance will be the only one in Texas for 2019, and will be the only performance during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo that will not include a rodeo performance, but will include other activities.

The rest of the 2019 lineup will be announced in January.

Strait made his first appearance at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 1983.
