Homicide Investigators Identify Murder Suspect

Harris County homicide investigators are looking for 19-year-old Matthew Schnaare​, who is wanted for the murder of a 20-year-old man.

CYPRESS, TX — Homicide investigators have identified a man wanted in the May 24 shooting death of another man. Harris County homicide investigators are looking for 19-year-old Matthew Schnaare.

Investigators said Schnaare was seen on video surveillance fleeing the 16600 block of Highway F.M. 529 in a blue colored hatchback style sedan Friday, May 24, at around 5:45 p.m., after shooting a 20-year-old man.

According to investigators, Schnaare got into a four door sedan where he met with the victim. The two men began arguing, and during this argument Schnaare shot the male and fled. The man died at the scene.

Anyone who knows where to find Schnaare, is asked to call the HCSO Homicide unit at 713-274-9100, or Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to charges and/or arrest of the suspect in this case.
