1. Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker won his 2,000th game Tuesday night, becoming the 12th manager in major league history to reach the milestone and the first Black man to do it. Baker said, "...you can’t gloat about what you've done until after your career is over with. Then when your career is over with, then you assess the entire situation. But while you’re in it, you don’t have time to do that." (Fox 26 Houston)

2. Three people were taken to hospitals Wednesday morning after a police chase ended in a crash on the Galveston Seawall. It happened just after 10:30 a.m. at 59th Street and Seawall Boulevard. (KHOU 11)

3. A woman was charged and arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing over 40 handbags over the course of three months in Harris County, according to court documents. Dequavia Rodgers is accused of hitting multiple stores between January 5 and April 3, stealing a total of 47 handbags, documents state. (ABC 13)

4. Burrito concept, La India Bonita, will return to League City within the next several months. The eatery, which has been closed for over a year after a vehicle struck its building at 213 E. Main St., will reopen not far away at a former drive-through bank at 401 E. Main St. League City officials said work will be underway this spring and that the restaurant may open this year. 5. Hamsa, a modern Israeli restaurant, will open Wednesday, May 11. Diners will build a shared meal from the different sections of Hamsa's menu. Items on the menu include chicken shawarma, baba ganoush, lamb, shashuka, hummus, and more. (CultureMap Houston)

  • Houston City Council voted to approve changes to the city’s Chapter 30 ordinance that regulates noise and sound level regulation on Wednesday, May 4. The changes include increasing the maximum fine for a violation from $1,000 to $2,000. (Houston CultureMap)
