Houston ISD Offering Free Flu Shots To Students
Houston ISD is partnering with Healthy Schools and will start offering free flu shots to students in October.

HOUSTON, TX – In an attempt to reduce the spread of the flu, the Houston schools will offer free vaccines to students during the 2018-2019 school year, the district announced. The district has partnered with Healthy Schools for the vaccines, which will be dispensed throughout HISD beginning in October by a team of nurses.
The nurses will rotate to various campuses for half-day clinics to administer the vaccines.
The clinics will take place until December officials said. Parents are required to give consent either electronically or on a printed form, which will be available at every school campus.
