Houston Man Carjacked, Murdered In His Driveway, Police Say

HOUSTON — A Houston man was gunned down and carjacked while sitting in his own driveway, according to police. Dante Green, 41, who was the father of four children, was sitting in his driveway listening to music when he was shot several times in his driveway, and his car stolen, investigators said.

Witnesses told police they heard several gunshots and tires screeching at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Green’s mother, who also lives at the home, ran outside and found her son, and called the police.

Investigators said they do not know how many people are involved, or if the shooter just walked up and shot Green.

Police are looking at surveillance video from the neighborhood.

The shooting is under investigation.
