1. Don't miss Houston Margarita Festival on the Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park on Saturday, May 21. The event will feature 19 flavored margaritas for tasting, as well as tequila tastings, live music, DJ music, salsa dancing, food vendors and more. (365 Things To Do In Houston)
2. Six practicing and aspiring nurses with UTHealth Houston were honored Wednesday, May 4, at the 2022 “Salute to Nurses” luncheon, hosted by the Houston Chronicle. The annual event aims to recognize the most dedicated nurses in Houston’s health care community. (UTHealth Houston News)
3. The three Leader-area Houston city council districts have each held their redistricting town halls, but there still time to get involved in the long process of redrawing boundaries. The deadline is July 20 to submit ideas and plans to the council. (The Leader)
4. There are two new patio bars open in the Heights. There's Patterson Park, a sprawling venue with a treehouse vibe. The roof deck features a view of downtown, TVs streaming sports games, arcade games in a corner and more. There's also Heights & Co., which features a deck at around 3,000 square feet, as well an indoor bar and a more chill vibe. (Chron)
5. A missing 63-year-old woman, who was last seen walking her dog in a Katy neighborhood Tuesday, has been found in the George Bush Park, constable deputies with Precinct 5 said. Constable Ted Heap said Sherry Noppe and her dog Max were located by a group of volunteers and deputies who were alerted by the sound of her dog barking deep in the woods. (Click2Houston)

- Project LifeSaver is a Harris County program aimed at supporting families and caregivers of individuals who are prone to wandering due to cognitive disorders like dementia. You can sign up for the program on the project's website. (KHOU 11)
- A Houston-area high school football star who went on to play for the Oklahoma Sooners and had a short-lived stint in the NFL was shot and killed in downtown Dallas. Du'Vonta Lampkin was found wounded late Thursday night after he was not answering phone calls, the Dallas Police Department said. (ABC 13)
