HSCO Homicide Charges Man With In Robbery

SPRING, TX -- Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigators have arrested and charged a man with murder in the shooting death of another man on Jan. 23.

Cedrick Travon Davis is accused of shooting Edward Longoria Sr. to death in the 200 block of Cypresswood Drive on Jan. 23.

Deputies with the Harris County Constables Office Pct. 4 responded to a 911 call from a man who said his father had been shot.

When deputies arrived, the found Longoria dead.

Investigators learned that the son met a person on line and agreed to exchange firearms.

During the exchange of the firearm, two black men tried to rob Longoria and his son.

Shots were exchanged between the two men and Longoria, who was shot multiple times and one of the suspects was wound during an exchange of gunfire.
