Husband Shoots Robber During Attempted Home Invasion
A Houston man got into a gunfight with two would-be home invaders outside of his home in South Houston Tuesday night.

HOUSTON, TX -- A Houston man thwarted a near-home invasion Tuesday night when he exchanged gunfire with two men who were trying to rob his wife outside their home.
The incident happened at about 10: 30 p.m. in the 4300 block of South Acres Drive, in south Houston.
Investigators said the man looked out his front window and saw two men outside try8ing to drag his wife into the couple’s home.

The man grabbed his own gun and went outside, and started shooting at the men, who fired back.
One of the home invaders suffered a gunshot wound to the head, while the other man managed to get away.

When police arrived, they found the man laying in the driveway, KPRC reported.
The wounded man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
The homeowner and his wife were not hurt.
Police are looking for the second gunman and are asking anyone with any information to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
