The Kailee Mills Foundation was launched by her parents in November 2017, just days after their 16-year-old daughter was killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash.
The crash happened on Oct. 28, 2017, less than a mile from the Mills home. Kailee was riding in the backseat of a car, and removed her seat belt to slide over to take a selfie with a friend. Seconds later, the car veered off the road and rolled, ejecting Kailee and killing her instantly.
