1. The body of a man was found in a park on the property of an elementary school in the Alief area, according to the Houston Police Department. The body was found at 10255 Spice Lane at Landis Elementary School. The cause of death is currently unknown, according to authorities. (Houston Patch)

2. The Houston Museum of Natural Science’s soiree, The Great Outdoors Gala 2022, welcomed all with a casual and nature-focused theme. More than 500 guests packed the museum halls and raised over $2 million for the museum. (CultureMap Houston)

3. Ken Clark, Galveston County Precinct 4 commissioner, died May 8 after a stint in the hospital due to health issues. He was 58 years old. "Today is a sad day for League City, Galveston County and Precinct 4," League City Mayor Pat Hallisey said in a League City news release. "Clark leaves behind a legacy of constantly working and striving to improve our county and our community, particularly in the area of transportation and mobility." (Community Impact News)

4. Investigators believe domestic violence was involved in a woman's shooting death at a South Loop-area apartment complex. Houston Police Department began looking into the shooting at 8181 El Mundo Street, near Holly Hall Street, at about 7:40 a.m. Monday. (ABC 13)

5. The search continues for 69-year-old Henry Schelsteder, who has been missing for a week. He was driving a gray 2002 Ford F350 pickup with a missing tailgate and Texas license plate number PYP5305. He was last seen in the 11900 block of 7 1/2 Street in Houston on May 2 at 8 p.m. (CW 39)
