Man Hit, Killed While Pushing His Disabled Car Off Beltway 8

HOUSTON, TX — Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit and killed on North Beltway 8 near Greenspoint, and thrown from an elevated section onto the feeder road.

The accident happened overnight at the Beltway and Imperial Valley, when the victim and his friend were trying to push a disabled vehicle out of traffic.

Deputies said that’s when a woman driving a Toyota sedan hit the car, and threw the man over a retaining wall onto the feeder road.

The man died at the scene.

The woman remained at the scene after the accident, and has not been charged, KPRC reported.

Investigators do not believe alcohol was involved.
