Man Shot Outside U.S. Immigration Office In Houston
A man was shot and by his girlfriends ex-boyfriend outside of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office, police said.
HOUSTON — Police are investigating the shooting of a man outside an immigration and customs enforcement office in northwest Houston Friday morning. Officers were called at about 9:30 a.m. to the offices in the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office at 810 Gears Road for a shooting.
Police said the victim and his girlfriend arrived at the office to conduct some personal business, when they were confronted in the parking lot by the woman’s ex-boyfriend.
Witnesses told police the victim and the ex-boyfriend began fighting and the woman’s ex-boyfriend pulled out a gun and shot the other man in the chest.

Security officers inside the building were able to chase down the suspect and hold him until police arrived. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
