Mattress Firm Employee Murdered Inside Willowbrook Store

The manager of the Mattress Firm store in Willowbrook found the body of one of his employees hidden between two mattresses on Saturday.

HOUSTON, TX -- The manager of the Mattress Firm Store on FM 1960 in Willowbrook made a gruesome discovery when he discovered the dead body of one of his employees inside the store

The discovery was reported at about 7 p.m. at the store located at The Commons Shopping Center across from Willowbrook Mall.

Investigators said the 28-year-old woman, identified as Allie Barrow, had been shot to death, and was found hidden between two mattresses in the back of the store, KTRK reported.

Steve Stagner, CEO of Mattress Firm, issued the following statement about the case:

"We're deeply saddened to learn that one of our team members was found deceased at a store in Houston. We send our sincere condolences to this team member’s family, friends and loved ones. We are cooperating fully with law enforcement. Out of respect for the person involved, her family and the ongoing investigation, we will offer no further comment at this time."

The area of FM 1960 between State Highway 249 and Interstate 45 is considered a high crime rate area, and is often the area of greater Houston that sees a significant number of arrests related to violent crime, as well as prostitution and narcotics activity.
