Person Of Interest In HCC Threat Is Identified
The Harris County DA will file charges against the person who made an online threat to the HCC Central Campus over the weekend

HOUSTON, TX — Police have identified a person of interest who they say made threats on social media of a shooting at the Houston Community College Campus near downtown.
HCC’s Central Campus reopened Wednesday, days after the campus received the threat on the eve of finals week.
With the campus reopened, finals have been rescheduled for Thursday and Friday.

Investigators have identified and located a person of interest in the social media threat regarding Houston Community College Central Campus and will seek charges with the Harris County District Attorney over the next several days.

Campus officials announced at a press conference on Tuesday that they were working with the FBI, and that students and staff would see an enhanced security presence on campus this week.

The person who made the threats is expected to face criminal charges.
