“He was pulling on doors and he had jumped on the hood of a couple of cars,” HPD Assistant Chief James Jones said.
While police were on their way, they received another call from a man who said a man with a knife had gotten into his car while he was parked at a convenience store.

Jones said the officer fired his gun at Corona once but missed. When he tried to fire again, his weapon malfunctioned, officials said.
“The suspect continued to run. He also tried to get into two more vehicles, and he jumped on top of one car as the car was pulling away,” he said.
Witnesses said Corona appeared to be foaming at the mouth as he grabbed at door handles and jumped on cars.
When Corona jumped on the moving car, Jones said he dropped the knife. Police got close enough to tase him twice, and eventually arrested him.
Jones said Corona, who may have been under the influence of some sort of narcotic, was taken to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries, and released into police custody.
There were no injuries. The officer was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
