Sheriff Releases Video Of Man Wanted In Cypress Woman's Murder

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez released video surveillance of a man wanted for questioning in the murder of 62-year-old Pamela Johnson

CYPRESS, TX -- Clues are beginning to emerge in the brutal murder of 62-year-old Pamela Johnson, who was found dead in her Cypress home on Friday evening.

At about 6:30 p.m. on July 13, sheriff's deputies were called to Johnson's home at 12404 Bent Pine Drive in northwest Harris County for a welfare check of Johnson.

"The last time Ms. Johnson was in contact with family or friends was believed to be around noon on July 10," Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said at a press conference.

Johnson's body was found in her home and her car, a maroon Chrysler PT Cruiser, was missing from the driveway.

On Saturday, a witness called the sheriff's office and reported that Johnson's car was parked in the parking lot at Willowbrook Mall, only a few miles from her home.

On Sunday, Gonzalez released video of a man who was seen abandoning Johnson's car in the mall parking lot, and walking through the mall before leaving on the opposite side of where the car was abandoned.

Investigators are looking for a man with an olive complexion, or possibly Hispanic, with a slim build and between 5-feet-7 and 5-feet-9 inches tall.

The man was wearing a dark colored shirt, and blue jeans, had short hair, and possibly tattoos on his arms.
