Thursday's Results And Friday Night Football Matchups

HOUSTON, TX — The Texas high school football playoffs are one of the most exciting sports tournaments in the nation, and they kicked off last night with the bi-district round. Though most teams play tonight and a handful play tomorrow, here are last night's results and tonight's matchups.

The area round will start Thursday next week — yes, some teams actually play on Thanksgiving. The ultimate goal for all 700-plus playoff teams in Texas is to make it to Arlington for the state championships the weekend before Christmas at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
