Warriors Down Rockets 116-109 in Game 1 Contest

Kevin Durant led the charge scoring 37 points, and Klay Thompson adding 28 points in a 116-109 in a playoff showdown in Houston Monday night

HOUSTON, TX — So much for home court advantage.

Game one of the Western Conference Finals didn’t go as planned for the Houston Rockets, who fell to the Golden State Warriors at the Toyota Center Monday night.

Kevin Durant led the charge scoring 37 points, and Klay Thompson adding 28 points in a 116-109 in a playoff showdown that most NBA pundits have been predicting all season.

Many of those same pundits predicted a Rockets win in game one, with the Warriors starting their first playoff series on the road since 2014.

The game was close much of the night with both teams tied at 56 at half time, but the Warriors were able to pull away by the fourth quarter.

The Rockets hope to rebound when the play game two at the Toyota Center on Wednesday.
