Woman Killed Jumping From Car And Into Path Of An 18-Wheeler
A woman who jumped from her boyfriend's car on the Gulf Freeway, and into the path of an 18-wheeler may have been suicidal, police said.

HOUSTON, TX — A woman who jumped out of a car, and walked into the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler may have been suicidal, police said. The incident happened Tuesday at about 12:45 a.m. in the 3400 block of the Gulf Freeway at Scott Street.
According to police, the victim, a 22-year-old woman, was riding in the passenger seat as her boyfriend was driving a Chevrolet Impala along Interstate 45 South. The boyfriend told police that his girlfriend became distraught.
Police said the woman began making suicidal comments to her boyfriend. Moments later, the woman opened the passenger door and jumped from the moving car.

The boyfriend said the woman stood up, and walked into oncoming traffic, and into the path of an 18-wheeler, which hit and killed the woman.
The woman’s boyfriend and the semi-truck driver both stopped and called police. The identity of the woman has not been released. Police said charges would not be filed in the case.
