Two Shot Early Wednesday Morning Outside Night Club: Police

Car crashed into crowd, shots fired, men fled and then caught, transported to hospital; one still at large

HOUSTON, TX β€” Houston police are investigating events that happened at 1717 Travis Street around 2 a.m. this morning. According to officers Montalvo and Barrow, they were patrolling the area when they heard gunshots. When they arrived, several witnesses told them a vehicle struck an unknown male at that location by a night club, and shots were fired by unknown persons at that vehicle.

Per a release from HPD, the officers saw the vehicle flee the scene before coming to a stop in the 1600 block of Travis. The officers approached the vehicle that had three males β€” two with gunshot wounds, who all fled on foot. Two of the males were located in the 900 block of Bell Street and transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Memorial Hermann Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital to be treated for their wounds. The third male remains at large.

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
