NEW CANEY, TX -- School is almost out and if you need a summer job, Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventure at Grand Texas in New Caney has openings. The hiring fair takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to have the park fully staffed and ready to open by Memorial Day weekend.

The minimum age requirement for positions is 16-years-old, however for some positions such as aerial guides and cashiers, the applicant must be at least 18-years-old.

Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures at Grand Texas is located at 23101 State Highway 242 in New Caney, and is an 80-acre combined water and adventure destination located within the Grand Texas 632-acre entertainment, dining and shopping destination.

Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventure is looking to fill over 500 seasonal and permanent, full and part-time positions in the following areas:

  • lifeguards
  • aerial guides
  • greeters
  • first-aid staff
  • cashiers
  • grounds staff
  • park services
  • dishwasher/warehouse
  • wildlife technicians
  • guest relations representatives
  • full restaurant staff and more.

Positions in the highest demand at this time are lifeguards, zip line attendants, rope course attendants, cashiers and more. Park representatives ask that if you plan to apply for a lifeguard position to please bring swimwear.

Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures at Grand Texas will provide all training necessary on the weekends leading up to the grand opening date. Multiple sessions will be offered to ensure new hires can pick the session that fits with their schedule. No certifications are necessary prior to applying. More details about training will be shared once the new hire offer has been extended.
