City Hosts "Rainxiety" Group Therapy Session For Flood Victims
Kingwood residents who are feeling stress and anxiety over the latest flooding event are invited to a group therapy session May 21.
KINGWOOD, TX — If the latest round of severe weather and flooding has created phobias triggered by the sound of raindrops, or if you are simply at your wits end after the latest round of flooding, then a free group therapy session in Kingwood may be the ticket to easing that stress.
The free group therapy event, hosted by Allied Mental Health, PLLC, is designed to help flood victims dealing with anxiety.
The event which is called "Rainxiety," will take place on Tuesday, May 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kingwood Community Center, located at 4102 Rustic Woods.

The event will include several volunteers and counselors available to assist flood victims directly, as well as a presentation by Psychologist, Dr. Marty Lerman who will volunteer some helpful methods to cope with anxiety.
