On Oct. 9, attendees at the Atascocita Community Response Task Force (C.R.T.F.) meeting learned more about house fires than most had likely ever imagined. They also learned how local fire departments are organized to respond to both those fires and everything else. The subject of the meeting was titled “The Impact of House Fires and How to Prepare.” The guest speaker was Samuel Pena, chief of the Houston Fire Department (HFD).
