Crosby Murder-Suicide: Identities Of 3 Teens Revealed

The Harris County Sheriff's Office confirmed the deaths of three teens were a result of a double-murder suicide.

CROSBY, TX — The identities of the three teens killed in a shooting Tuesday in Crosby were released by the Harris County Sheriff's Office, which also confirmed the incident was a double-murder suicide.

Hayden Burns, 15, shot his sister, 17-year-old Haley Burns, and 17-year-old Kadience Cadena before shooting and killing himself, investigators said.

No motive for the shooting has been determined, and the investigation is ongoing, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The three teens were found by a family member in a home located on the 4500 block of Wolcek Road and pronounced dead at the scene. Family members told deputies one of the girls didn't pick up her younger sister from school, and they became concerned when she didn't answer her phone, authorities said.

The teens were not students in Crosby ISD, according to the school district.

"Our hearts continue to go out to the families impacted by the tragedy in the Crosby community this week. ... Although the teenagers were not current students, we are thinking of and praying for those who knew them in our community," the district said in a statement. "District counselors have been made available at all campuses this week to speak with students and staff in need of extra support."
