Humble City Council hires new city secretary
On Nov. 11, the Humble City Council unanimously decided post-executive session to hire a new city secretary, Maria Jackson. Effective the end of September, former City Secretary Jenny Page retired from service to the Humble community after several decades of city work.
Jackson was selected for this role based on her previous experience, knowledge and time spent in several administrative positions, most recently for Missouri City. Jackson was appointed city secretary of Missouri City in August 2011. Prior to that, she served as deputy city secretary and administrative assistant to the department since 2006.
