KINGWOOD, TX — U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Frank Zastoupil,a 2005 graduate of Kingwood High School, has been tapped to become the newest member of the U.S. Navy's elite Blue Angels acrobatic flying team, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

Zastoupil, who flies the F-35 Lightning II Fighter, will take the controls of an F/A-18 Hornet along with other Naval aviators who are part of the most recognized aerial team in the world.

"They kind of represent everything the Navy and Marine Corps does; all the Marines and Sailors that are out there and they do that through air shows, flight demonstrations and a lot of community outreach," Zastoupil told the Chronicle. "The Blue Angels are there to inspire culture of excellence and service to country through those aspects of what they do."
