Man Injured In Atascocita Truck Fire Caused By Butane Lighter
The victim was refilling his butane lighter while smoking, causing an explosion. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
ATASCOCITA, TX — A 20-year-old man was injured when his truck exploded and caught fire Friday morning in Atascocita.
The incident occurred on the 20900 block of Greenfield Trail, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The man was smoking, and the explosion was caused when fumes from a butane lighter caught on fire, according to the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office. The victim was refilling the butane lighter when it ignited.

The victim was transported by life flight to a hospital and is in critical condition, according to authorities.
