Happy New Year! It is a fond wish we repeatedly hear this time of year. There is always something about the “New” Year. It is as if we get to start from scratch … or a do-over. Of course, there are traditions that go along with the New Year as well. Growing up my family always gathered round the table for dinner with a New Year’s ham, black-eyed peas and cabbage, all of which also contained some sort of pork seasoning. I guess you could say we “pigged out” for the New Year. Which brings me to another tradition for the New Year … making New Year’s resolutions.
