New Caney School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

HUMBLEWOOD-KINGWOOD, TX — The first day of school in New Caney is August 20 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The New Caney School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/19 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/19 - 12/20: Early Release (High School)
• 12/21: Early Release (All Schools)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/7: No School (Professional Development)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

March

• 3/8: No School (Professional Development)
• 3/11 - 3/15: No School (Spring Recess)

April

• 4/19: No School (Good Friday)

May

• 5/22 - 5/23: Early Release (High School)
• 5/24: Last Day of School / Early Dismissal (All Schools)
