Road Project Delayed A Month For Woodland Hills, Northpark Drive

The overlay project for Woodland Hills and Northpark Drive will begin July 10, Councilman Dave Martin said.

HOUSTON- The highly anticipated mobility improvement projected slated for Woodland Hills at Northpark Drive has been delayed until Wednesday, July 10, according to Houston City Councilman Dave Martin's office.

The project, which is designed to better accommodate traffic in the area, involves as milling off an approximate 2-inch layer of old asphalt, repairing the base as needed, spraying tack coat and overlaying 2 inches of new asphalt surface pavement.

An overlay at this intersection has not been completed since Martin has been in office and is well overdue. The cost of the project is $134,415.70.

The project will be completed by Sunday, July 14, weather permitting. Crews are expected to work between 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Friday, in an effort to avoid peak traffic hours.

Crews plan to work throughout the day on Saturday, July 13. As a result of the construction activities, please be aware of flagmen and orange traffic cones that will be put in place on site to help with traffic flow through the construction zone.
