Suspected Arrested in Porter CVS Robbery
An off-duty sheriff's deputy arrested a suspect who allegedly robbed a drug store in Porter.

PORTER, TX — The recent robbery of a CVS in Porter was over almost before it began. Two men wearing hoodies and masks walked into the CVS at the 23800 block of FM 1314.
They shoved a gun in the clerk's face and demanded that he open the safe. The clerk said he'd need a manager to open the safe. The manager saw the guns and went and hid in the bathroom and called 9-1-1.

A 9-1-1 dispatcher took the call and put it out over the radio as a robbery in progress. An off-duty Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy heard the call and pulled into the store's parking lot.
The men with the guns found the manager and told him to open the safe. When the men finally got the safe open they found out it was empty. They got frustrated and left.

One of the suspects saw the deputy and took off running the deputy followed. A short foot pursuit later and the alleged robber was in custody, his gun secured.
The second suspect remains at large. He is described as a 6' tall black man and was last seen wearing a white hoodie and white sweat pants.
