Here are the top five stories today in Irving:

  1. A property associated with legendary criminal couple Bonnie and Clyde is no more. The small home and former filling station in West Dallas' Las Altos neighborhood is reportedly where Clyde Barrow planned his robberies. The Dallas Landmark Commission was working to preserve the property but the COVID-19 pandemic caused officials to suspend the designation process, and the home was destroyed last week.   2. Police have identified a missing Texas National Guard soldier as 22-year-old Bishop E. Evans, of Arlington. Evans went missing on Friday in Maverick County while attempting to rescue two immigrants crossing the Rio Grande from Mexico who appeared to be in distress. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  3. A new Dallas ISD school building will soon be named in honor of West Dallas actress, Regina Taylor. She plays Michelle Obama's mother in the new Showtime series, "The First Lady." (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)

  • A Dallas 4-year-old died of drowning recently, reports Yona Gavino. And Cook Children's Hospital said such cases are on the rise.
