Here are the top five stories in Irving today:

  1. Maximize water usage in your yard with help from a Rainscape Class at the South Irving Library on April 14. Participants will learn techniques for creating "green stormwater infrastructure" — techniques that help reduce water use, improve water quality and even reduce flooding. Plus, they can look beautiful, too! (Irving Weekly)
  2. Renters are flocking to the Irving area, according to research performed by StorageCafe. The Dallas `burbs of Irving and Lewisville became the nation’s top cities to draw in renters in 2021, as a percentage of population. In fact, three times as many renters came to Irving as left over the past year.
  3. Work-from-home is awesome, but sometimes it's great to get out and about. The South Irving Public Library now offers Wi-Fi Hotspots to give you another convenient option for work, research, entertainment and other online tasks. (Irving Weekly)
  4. Snag reservations to one of the latest additions to the DFW food scene: SER Steak + Spirits. The contemporary American steakhouse featuring woodfire-grilled Prime beef, craft cocktails and an extensive bourbon/whiskey list recently opened in the Design District. (CultureMap Dallas)
  5. WWE's WrestleMania 38 at AT&T Stadium came and went, breaking all sorts of records in the process. Find out more at The Dallas Morning News (subscription required).

Today's Irving Daily is brought to you by Tankfarm Propane, a Patch Brand Partner. Homeowners aren’t always experts when it comes to buying propane for their homes. That’s why it’s incredibly important to ask these six questions before choosing the right propane provider, so you can avoid extra costs, get a low price on propane refills and have some peace of mind.
