  1. Are you struggling to afford reliable internet in your home? Irving Weekly shared a program from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to help households get and stay connected. Click the link to get more info and see if you qualify.
  2. Hard Eight BBQ — with five locations in the DFW metroplex — may get excellent reviews from its customers, but it sounds like employees may have different opinions. The Department of Labor (DOL) recently revealed that the chain owes 910 workers $867,572 in shorted tips and overtime pay. Although the company says it fixed the problem in 2021, a DOL rep says just 219 of those workers have been reimbursed. (Eater Dallas)
  3. Find out the highest-earning ZIP codes in Dallas metro area. Spoiler alert: Lil ol' Irving isn't one of `em. Southlake came out number one, with a median household income of $240,507. That's well above the nationwide average median income of $67,521 in 2020. (CW33 Dallas)
