🌱 Frisco Council Revisiting Animal Sales Ordinance + Early Voting

Here are the top three stories today in McKinney-Frisco:

  1. Frisco City Council is currently reviewing the animal sales ordinance and is considering strengthening regulations on the retail sale of animals. At a city council meeting on Apr. 19, animal advocates, community members, and employees of Frisco Petland discussed the current ordinance that requires animal retailers to provide information on pets for sale, such as animal origin, health, and previous care. Assistant Chief of Police Billy Clay indicated that 13 total violations have been documented since the ordinance began in 2020. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  2. Early voting for the May 7 general election begins Monday, Apr. 25. According to the election calendar, May 3 is the last day to vote early in-person while Tuesday, Apr. 26 is the last day to apply for a ballot by mail. Collin County voters can cast a ballot at polling locations throughout the county during early voting and on election day May 7. Find out where to vote early and on election day here.   3. It's that time of the week again! New pets are added each week to Patch's ever-growing list of pets that are in need of adoption in the McKinney-Frisco Area.
