Frisco-based organization to host a food drive event on Saturday
Frisco Family Services calls for community donations ahead of summer months

Frisco, Texas - With the summer on the horizon, Frisco Family Services is asking the community to help stock its food bank.
The organization explains that during the summer, its food bank often runs low. This is because they help around 8,500 local kids who usually get free or subsidized lunches at school. When school's out for summer, these kids can struggle to get enough to eat.
On June 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Frisco Family Services is organizing a food and donation drive, according to Dallas Metro News. Donations can be dropped off at 9085 Dogwood, across from Frisco Resale.

They especially need pasta and pasta sauce, canned proteins, instant meal kits, macaroni and cheese, milk substitutes, condiments, baking supplies, bread, snack boxes, juice boxes, and bottled water. They also need essential non-food items such as personal hygiene products and household cleaning supplies.
Donations can be made:

Frisco Family Services is a nonprofit group that helps people in Frisco and Frisco ISD communities who don't have enough food, don't have a place to live, or have other important needs. It was started in 1994 by a group of caring locals.
This past year, they helped over 4,100 people in the community, gave out about 730,000 meals through their Market, and provided more than $1.9 million in program support.
They also encourage people to think about volunteering with them at Frisco Resale or at the Market. For more info, click here.
