Frisco ISD is preparing for a significant expansion as two new educational establishments are set to open their doors soon

Frisco Independent School District (ISD) is preparing for a significant expansion as two new educational establishments are set to open their doors, Dallas Metro News reported. The inauguration, increasing the district's school count to 77, is scheduled just before the start of the 2023-24 academic session on August 9th, providing for more than 67,000 students ready to embark on their next educational phase.

Wortham Intermediate School

Found in McKinney, Wortham Intermediate School is a standout addition to Frisco ISD. Catering specifically to fifth and sixth graders, the institution was initially planned as Middle School No. 19 under the 2018 bond but later transformed into Wortham Intermediate.

Constructed from 2022 to August 2023, this pioneering facility represents a $45 million investment funded through the 2018 Frisco ISD bond.

Richard Wilkinson Middle School

In August, Richard Wilkinson Middle School will enhance the Frisco ISD educational offerings as its 18th middle school. Positioned in northwest Frisco, opposite Panther Creek High School, it's crafted to meet the needs of students in sixth to eighth grades.

Initiated in 2022, this new establishment reflects a $43 million investment, backed by the same 2018 Frisco ISD bond responsible for the Wortham Intermediate School.

The dual inauguration of these schools marks Frisco ISD's continued commitment to excellence and growth in education. By wisely allocating funds from the 2018 bond and carefully planning the construction timelines, the district exhibits an unwavering dedication to quality and innovation.

These fresh additions to Frisco's educational landscape will undoubtedly enhance learning experiences and strengthen the district's ongoing quest for academic advancement and community improvement.
