1. This May 9 through 15, the AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament is hosting its second year at the TPC Craig Ranch. Tournament officials announced in February that the event will be held in full capacity this year. 2. HBCU Hub, an app focused on connecting students to advisors, has relocated from California to McKinney. Founder and CEO Jonathan Swindell started HBCU Hub to remedy what he saw as a lack of centralized data and infrastructure on Black students and their academic progress. The app allows students who use it to apply for scholarships and connect with coaches and admissions recruiters at HBCUs across the U.S. (The Dallas Morning News)
3. Are you looking for a furry new friend? Approximately half of all shelter pets are adopted each year out of the millions that are surrendered to shelters.
