MCKINNEY, TX — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is tomorrow, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

July 4 Festivities

What: Red, White & Boom

Where: Downtown McKinney; McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch (6375 Collin McKinney Parkway)

When: 10 a.m., July 4

Red, White and BOOM! kicks off Independence Day in downtown McKinney with a hometown parade and the Yankee Doodle block party. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the celebration moves to McKinney Soccer Complex for free family activities, live music and a spectacular fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.


What: Frisco Freedom Fest

Where: Simpson Plaza (Frisco Square Boulevard)

When: 4 p.m., July 4

Frisco's celebration will feature live entertainment and a children's expo featuring rides and sports. Shoppers can browse and buy at the patriotic vendor village, and law enforcement and first responders have booths set up in the Hometown Heroes area. Check out the classic car and motorcycle show, and fill up on delicious food at the Taste of Frisco booths with local vendors. A fireworks show caps the festivities around 10:15 p.m.


What: All-American 4th

Where: Collin College (2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano)

When: 6-10 p.m., July 4

This free event will feature food, vendor market and a kid's zone as well as static, patriotic parade floats to spice up the Independence Day spirit. The fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m., with the music simulcast on 97.5 KLAK.


What: Frisco Rough Riders Postgame Fireworks

Where: Riders Field (7300 Roughriders Trail, Frisco)

When: 6:05 p.m., July 3

Get some celebrating in a day early and watch some baseball before the Rough Riders' Independance Day Fireworks Show, their biggest fireworks show of the year. The Riders' game against the Corpus Christi Hooks starts at 6:05 p.m. with the fireworks afterward. Show up early to receive a mini-flag
