Tell us why they deserve to be nominated!

Ethan has suffered from Juvenile Arthritis and Eosinophilic Esophogitis since he was 5 years old. For six years, he had a feeding tube (G-tube). Being in and out of the hospital constantly, he missed tons of school. He decided to repeat 8th grade to learn everything he missed. In 9th grade, he became his school’s TV news anchor. In remission, he made the JV baseball team in 11th grade and the varsity team his senior year. For his inspiration to others, he is the 2024 Young Adult Honoree at the Arthritis Walk in Dallas. He has received the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award, as he has advocated on Capitol Hill with Senators and Congressmen for funds for research to cure Arthritis; and volunteered for 11 years for Kayla Cares 4 Kids, which donates entertainment and educational items to children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald House nationwide. In the fall, he will enroll in the University of Missouri’s Journalism School, where he will pursue his dream of becoming a sportscaster.
