Medical City ER Stonebridge reopens in McKinney

McKinney - The Medical City ER Stonebridge, a division of Medical City McKinney, joyously welcomed back the residents of McKinney and nearby communities on July 10th, reinstating its critical mandate of delivering full-spectrum emergency care to individuals of all ages, Dallas Metro News reported.

In conjunction with this grand reopening, Medical City McKinney demonstrated a philanthropic spirit by gifting a significant $5,000 donation to Collin College's Department of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The EMS department at Collin College is well-regarded for its engaging teaching methods, which effectively balance theoretical and hands-on training in prehospital emergency medicine, fostering the growth of aspiring medical practitioners.

Operations at Medical City ER Stonebridge had been temporarily halted since March 2020, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This allowed for resources and personnel to be more effectively deployed. Now, with resources readily available once more, the facility is eager to renew its promise of round-the-clock essential emergency services at its strategic location.

“We are thrilled to expand access to high-quality, safe emergency care closer to home for many Collin County residents – backed by all of the resources and clinical expertise of Medical City McKinney,” said Medical City McKinney CEO Ernest Lynch.

The emergency department is staffed with a team of certified emergency doctors and nurses, equipped with special training in emergency response. The quality of care at Medical City ER Stonebridge is comparable to that of hospital-based emergency rooms, with a seamless process in place for patients requiring advanced care or inpatient services at Medical City McKinney. The facility boasts features such as:

• 12 private patient treatment rooms, including two pediatric rooms
• Dedicated trauma code room
• Medical laboratory
• Imaging suite with X-ray, computerized tomography (CT) scans and ultrasound

Established initially in 2015, Medical City ER Stonebridge is conveniently situated at 8995 W. University Drive in McKinney, at the junction of W. University Drive and N. Custer Road.
