Frisco, Texas - Effective from the 1st of June, the esteemed Medical City Las Colinas has announced the appointment of Marcus Jackson, FACHE, as the new Chief Operating Officer, Dallas Metro News reported.

Jackson, a seasoned healthcare professional, began his career journey as a respiratory therapist before steadily climbing the ladder to diverse leadership roles, consistently proving his adaptability and strategic prowess.

Throughout his career in healthcare, Jackson has carved out an impressive path, taking on key roles in both respiratory therapy and cardiopulmonary directorate positions. His exceptional performance as Vice President of Operations and Co-Ethics Compliance Officer at Medical City Arlington since 2017 further exemplified his leadership skills.

In his tenure, Jackson's executive competence was evident in his handling of major capital improvement projects, affirming his ability to manage intricate initiatives. His shrewd management was crucial in the establishment of significant establishments such as the Medical City Women’s Hospital Arlington and Medical City ER Red Oak. Besides these feats, he led the construction of a seven-story parking facility and a vast 90,000-square-foot medical office building on the campus. Moreover, he held supervisory roles across multiple departments while being a part of the senior leadership board.

Jackson’s academic portfolio is equally impressive, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Leadership from Dallas Christian College, alongside a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Systems Management from Texas Woman’s University. His academic journey also led him to a Master of Arts in New Testament Preaching from Johnson Bible College.

Broadening his professional scope, Jackson also has an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care from El Centro College. His service experience stretches beyond healthcare, marking him as a United States Marine Corps Reserve veteran and for the past 24 years, he has also served as an ordained associate pastor, providing spiritual counsel.
