Shawn Wills appointed as new Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County CEO
Former Chief Development Officer of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas joins BGCCC

Frisco, Texas - The Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County (BGCCC) has confirmed the appointment of Shawn Wills as their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), taking office on August 16. Bringing over twenty years of experience from the nonprofit realm, Wills is poised to enhance BGCCC's engagement with underserved youth.
Before this role, Wills executed her responsibilities as the Chief Development Officer for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, where she directed the organization's fundraising and development strategies. One of her significant contributions was leading a $65 million capital campaign, a record achievement for the institution. With this background, Wills is keen on leveraging her insights to further BGCCC's mission in Collin County.
Wills said, “I am honored and extremely grateful to the Board and the selection committee for the opportunity to lead this organization that has been a positive staple in the Collin County community for more than 50 years; and I share the Board of Directors’ vision to ensure that BGCCC remains a fiscally strong, forward-thinking organization that enables all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

Wills' previous engagements provide evidence of her diverse skill set and unwavering commitment to nonprofit endeavors. Her roles have included Vice President of Operations at Women’s Business Council — Southwest, Senior Vice President of Development at Texas Women’s Foundation, Chief Development Officer for CitySquare, and Manager of Volunteer Services at KERA, PBS, and NPR stations in North Texas.
Residing in Frisco, Wills has acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Furthermore, she has pursued certifications in non-profit leadership and nonprofit management at Southern Methodist University, underscoring her dedication to continuous learning and proficiency in nonprofit operations.

Dr. Monigo Saygbay-Hallie, who chairs the Board Governance Committee and is a member of the BGCCC CEO Search Committee, shared the board's sentiments, “Our Board is super excited for Shawn Wills to lead our organization into the future. Founded in 1968, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County, a notable North Texas nonprofit, annually serves approximately 4,800 children through diverse programs spanning after-school, summer, and outreach activities. Currently, the organization manages seven clubs, strategically situated in areas including McKinney, Plano, Frisco, and Princeton.
