Xplor® Preschool Students in McKinney Donate Nearly $230 to Local Kids
Campers held a lemonade stand to raise funds and awareness for the nonprofit
Summer campers at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care on Stonebridge Drive in McKinney recently donated nearly $230 to Tracks 4 Kids, a nonprofit organization that develops social programs for children on the autism spectrum. To raise money for the organization, campers sold lemonade to their fellow campers, families, staff, and teachers.
Xplor Preschool & School Age Care instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
