• Fireball seen across Texas sky, and 5 other states (fox4news.com) — Residents in Oak Point were among nearly 200 people across Texas and nearby states who spotted a spectacular blue‑green fireball streaking across the sky Tuesday evening. One Oak Point family described seeing the meteor drop straight down in front of their car, calling it the biggest and most beautiful object they’ve ever seen overhead. Experts say such bright meteors, called fireballs, are reported hundreds of times each year.
