- A woman in Odessa was arrested earlier this week after allegedly providing alcohol to a minor. Claudia Luna, 35, was charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor. She was also cited for violation of social host ordinance. The arrest comes after three recent shootings in Odessa and Ector County that occurred at parties where minors were drinking. (Yourbasin)
- The BBQ Masters and Cornhole Bracket Battle returned to Odessa on Saturday after a three-year COVID-19 hiatus. The event, hosted by the City of Odessa and sponsored by the Odessa Jackolopes, was held in the Ector County Colosseum parking lot. The barbecue teams were made up of Marine Corps veterans and competed for a cash prize of up to $4,000. (Newswest 9)
- Fans and vendors came together this past weekend to celebrate TV, movie, and comic book culture at Midland County Horseshoe's Permian Basin Comic Con X. Among the vendors in attendance was Nathan Martin, who makes fan and custom art. Like many vendors, Martin was affected during COVID-19 and was excited to reconnect with the community and showcase his talent. (CBS 7)

- Odessa Police Department is requesting assistance identifying a suspect involved in a theft. The suspect was seen stealing approximately $960 worth of merchandise from Smoker’s Oasis.
