Here are the top three stories in Odessa-Midland today:

  1. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jackson Browne announced his summer tour with a stop in Midland. Currently in Japan and visiting Australia before returning to the states for his United States tour, Browne will play in Midland on Jul. 15. The show will be held at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center. (wbsm.com)
  2. Five metros in Texas are among the top 10 when it comes to the 20 best housing markets for growth according to SmartAsset. Coming in second on the list throughout the country, Midland has seen a reported 255.50 percent home price increase since 1998. Midland's place is only behind fellow Texas metro Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown which has seen a 353.92 percent growth. (Vermont Biz)
  3. Bass Pro Shops will be adding a 17th store in Texas with a new location opening in Midland in late 2024. Founder Johnny Morris expressed his excitement to strengthen the retailer's relationship with Texans and make it easier for families in West Texas to enjoy outdoor activities.
