Accused Child Molester Arrested Again For Sexual Assault

HOUSTON, TX — A La Porte man who was arrested earlier this month, and charged with sexually assaulting a child is back in the Harris County Jail after another victim came forward, officials said.

Buford Lloyd Crowell, 67, was arrested on Dec. 7 after his sister’s granddaughter discovered a disturbing video on Crowley’s phone that allegedly showed him sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 14.

Crowell’s sister turned him after discovering the video and he was taken to the Harris County Jail. Crowell was released on bonds totaling $55,000.

Police said during their investigation, another victim came forward and alleged he'd also sexually assaulted her. Crowell is being held with bail set at $120,000. He is expected to face a judge on Jan. 9, 2019.

Police said Crowell has been arrested twice previously for child indecency, but both of those charges were dismissed.
