Because of her behavior, Churchwell was handcuffed and charged with public intoxication.

During a search of her purse, the officer found eight miniature bottles of vodka, with seven of them empty.

As the officer tried to put her in the patrol car, Churchwell pulled away and allegedly kicked the officer, and was charged additionally with assaulting a police officer.

About 45 minutes after her arrest, Churchwell allegedly activated the sprinkler system in her cell, which set off the fire alarm and alerted the fire department.

The sprinkler system flooded the jail.

In addition to assault of a police officer, Churchwell was charged with false alarm or report and criminal mischief.

Churchwell’s bond was set at $7,500.
